Have questions? Hopefully we have covered them here for you!
Lots of encouragement, and creative inspiration for your child to go at their own pace. Our onsite location sessions are a structured 1.5 hours time that involves lots of things to explore and do. Each week an exciting theme that helps develop fine motor skills, colours, use of paint, glitter, glue stickers, playdough and more! Our focus is also on the special connection time that you will experience each week with your child making special memories together. Each session ends with a healthy morning tea for the children, and a chance to connect with each other.
At Happy Hands, we never want cost to be a barrier for families, which is why at our on location sites we charge so little. Happy Hands Art Time is a registered non-for-profit community program, so all funds go towards materials and resources needed each week to run sessions. Term fees are payable upfront for a term – each week is only $9 plus gst and we normally run 8-10 week terms.
Great question! We understand that life with young children can brings all sorts of surprises, so sometimes you may miss a week. It’s ok, we have that covered! If you attending a location, our teams will keep the craft packs for you to collect the following week to complete at home in your own time so they don’t miss out. If you have subscribed to our weekly online episodes, all of our LIVE episodes will be recorded and you will still be able to watch in your own time.
As a rule in our onsite locations, our volunteer teams do not serve peanuts. On our registration form, we ask you to select whether your child has an allergy and detail the type. This information is communicated to our volunteer teams so they are aware. We know that it can be sometimes difficult around wheat allergies especially if all the other children are eating what is served, so in this case if you are unsure, it is best that you bring an alternative snack for your child. Our teams will do their best to accommodate your family and ensure social situations such as this are treated sensitively.
Our on-site locations cater for toddler aged group from 1-5 year olds. Our online LIVE weekly program is from 2-10, and anyone else young at heart! All welcome (:
At our on-site locations, all of our teams are willing volunteers from a Seventh-day Adventist church. Every team member has a heart for families and aims to make your time with us memorable! Happy Hands Art Time is founded by Carolin, also a volunteer, you can read about the story in ‘Our Story’ page (:
Whilst our onsite sessions are run by church groups, the themes are all only based on beautiful nature, interesting animals, quirky artists and vibrant textures and colours. There is no religious content in our Happy Hands sessions. If you are however interested in simple bible story themes for your child, you can check out our sister program on youtube – Happy Hearts. https://www.youtube.com/happyheartsshow
